An Evening with Emma Purshouse

Press Books and Coffee is delighted to host the launch of Unsung, the latest poetry collection by acclaimed writer and performer Emma Purshouse, published by independent publisher Offa’s Press. Unsung is a raw yet witty celebration of Black Country life.

Emma Purshouse is a freelance writer, performance poet, and novelist who became Wolverhampton’s first Poet Laureate (2020–2022). She has performed her work across the country, published for both adults and children, and is a poetry slam champion. Her work has been recognised in numerous competitions, including placing 3rd in the prestigious National Poetry Competition in 2022. Alongside her writing, Emma is an experienced workshop facilitator, inspiring creativity in others through her engaging teaching.
