About the event

Join Tom Wilkins to discuss his new book 'Make the Chance', followed by a Q and A and a book signing.

After leaving school, Tom went to college to study carpentry and followed in his brother's and father's footsteps, working as a carpenter in the refurbishment industry. After seven years, Tom left the building trade to turn a hobby into a career and successfully became a personal trainer. It was during the Covid-19 outbreak and the subsequent lockdown that Tom decided to use the extra time and turn his hand to writing. In a time of turmoil for us all, he wanted to use this time to try to help people and hopefully put a positive spin on this negative time. With his writing, Tom wishes to motivate and inspire those in a dark place, to show that we all have the power to achieve anything we desire as long as we believe in ourselves.

Make The Chance is Tom's newest release. Read on to find out more about his exciting new book:

Remember the times before we had reality television? When people had work ethic and worked for their achievements? Don't you think that it's time we went back to making luck for ourselves rather than just waiting and hoping that an opportunity will just fall into our laps? So often today we have people living off benefits or working in a trade that they despise and just praying that one day a promotion or raise will just drop at their feet. We are all capable of making something out of ourselves and if we have a goal or a dream then there shouldn't be anything stopping us from trying to accomplish those goals.
